Kestrel Pocket Weather Meters Sponsors "Everest Rocks!" and Helps Fight Cancer

OCTOBER 2007—The Love Hope Strength Foundation (LHSF) presents Everest Rocks. In October, musicians and mountaineers take on Mount Everest to support the cure for cancer. Cancer survivors and co-founders of LHSF, Mike Peters and James Chippendale, will lead 40 musicians, mountaineers, cancer survivors, those whose lives have been affected by cancer and invited friends on a fourteen day trek.

Kestrel Pocket Weather Meters is a sponsor of Everest Rocks! During the month of October in honor of the trek, for every Kestrel 4000 series we sell, $1 will be donated toward cancer research.

Funds raised through the Everest Rocks promotion will go to The LHSF Cancer Support network that will provide cancer patients and their families with funding for treatments and access to information on the best doctors, treatments, hospitals, clinical trials and medications available. LHSF's first program will be providing vital funding and equipment to the Nepal Cancer Relief Society.

Cancer is one of the world's most powerful killers and will touch each of us in some way. Therefore, this global problem needs the support of a worldwide network. LHSF is an international charity with chapters in the United States, United Kingdom and Australia and is building a web based platform that will provide cancer patients and their families with access to information and tools to help them "climb back from cancer."
