Tune-Up Services

Just like a car goes into the shop for an oil change and lube, we offer Tune-Ups for each Kestrel model. The unit will be cleaned, updated with a new impeller, batteries, battery door (if needed), and the readings verified to be within specification. Depending on the model, some of the sensors are recalibrated. Once complete, the unit is leak tested, packed up and sent back to its owner, ready to go.

2500	Clean and inspect unit. Test sealing and temperature response. Recalibrate pressure. Install new calibrated impeller and battery, together with battery door and/or battery door o-ring as needed. 3000, 4100	Clean and inspect unit. Test sealing and temperature response. Recalibrate relative humidity. Install new calibrated impeller and battery, together with battery door and/or battery door o-ring as needed. 10% discount for 10 or more tune-ups on one order. If unit does not pass leak-test, brief efforts will be made to reseal unit (sealant applied to leaking area, screws tightened). Units that cannot pass leak test will be noted. If tune-up reveals a leak or function that cannot be restored to specifications, customer will be contacted. Options are: a) pay a discounted rate for tune-up of remaining functions; b) turn in unit for new unit at CCD rate (no charge for test/tune-up); or c) have unit returned without completing tune-up services (no charge to customer).
