Supporting a Great Cause
Now you get can get your favorite NK product in, you guessed it, PINK!
Your purchase of a pink NK product can make a difference and help support the fight against breast cancer.
Beginning in May, NK will be selling Pink Kestrel Pocket Weather Meters in addition to the pink bumpers for rowing products that are sold year-round to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness.
This promotion will run until the end of October 2012, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Proceeds
When you purchase anything from NK's Pink limited edition, 25 % of the proceeds goes directly to the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition (DBCC).
The DBCC is a local organization close to NK's office in Boothwyn, Pennsylvania. Although the organization is in Delaware they support women across the United States in and in some cases, internationally. Their mission is to empower the community by raising awareness of breast health issues through outreach, education and support services, in order to facilitate early detection and treatment of breast cancer.
Ninety one cents of every dollar donated goes directly to the women in need to support the cost of their treatments and pay for their appointments.
The DBCC also provides each woman with a mentor that has personally experienced breast cancer so the women have a survivor giving them hope and supporting them through the hard times.
To learn more about the organization, visit their website at www.debreastcancer.org where you'll find information about breast health, the programs they offer and more about giving the gift of hope.
The NK Family
Many NK employees personally know a close friend or family member that has been affected by breast cancer. In fact, one of our employees who inspired this campaign, Marie Johnson, is a breast cancer survivor. Raising money to support this cause is a personal mission for many of our employees because they know that a loved one can directly benefit from this initiative.

Partners
NK would like to thank its partners. When the company began discussing this initiative with some of its vendors and contacts in early 2012, the team was thrilled with the positive feedback and support that was received.
Polyshot, the molder for our Kestrel 4000 series is donating the pink molded parts to make the units. In addition, they are also not charging any time to this project for molding the pink parts.
