DEVELOPMENT GRANTS TO ATHLETES
NK announces grant to support up and coming athletes
After a successful inaugural grant program, NK is pleased to continue supporting the rowing community by making equipment grants available not only to current national team members, but also to those training hard to make it to the national level. NK will issue twenty $250 grants per year to selected athletes to be applied toward the purchase of NK equipment for use in training. Applicants must complete the online application form no later than November 30, 2009. Grant recipients will be notified by email by December 10, 2009, to provide ample time to select and benefit from one of many proven NK training tools.
Grant recipients will be determined by Nielsen-Kellerman staff and are non-transferrable. Eligibility limited to one grant per individual every three years. Grant must be used within ninety days of issue and any unused grants will be re-issued to another selected applicant. Grant applies to one order only – no balance carryover.
For thirty years, Nielsen-Kellerman has been known worldwide for its waterproof speed measurement, timing and audio systems for competitive rowers. Virtually every shell at the 2008 Beijing Olympic games carried NK equipment. Nielsen-Kellerman’s Kestrel Weather division has been researching, developing and manufacturing technically advanced portable weather instruments for over 10 years and owns multiple patents on their unique features.
