Both Kestrels measure wind speed, temperature, wind chill, altitude
and barometric pressure. They also have a pressure trend indicator
that allows users to anticipate weather changes. The 3500 also
measures relative humidity, heat stress index, dewpoint and wet
bulb temperature. The 3500 also has a state-of-the-art humidity
sensor that allows it to take readings up to five times faster
than other hand-held humidity instruments, even in abrupt and drastic
environment changes.
